Evangelism Explosion Teacher/Trainer, First Evangelical Church

Torrey Sandlund is a pediatric hematologist-oncologist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, he completed his Pediatric Residency training at Columbus Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio) and his Pediatric Hematology Oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, MD).

Torrey’s evangelism/outreach began in high school as he participated in neighborhood visitation for the Billy Graham crusade in Cleveland, OH. As an adult, he was involved as a counselor in another Billy Graham crusade in Washington, DC. Torrey was active in Campus Crusade for Christ while in college and helped start the Athletes in Action program for the Ohio State University track team. He has been active as an Evangelism Explosion teacher/trainer for over 10 years at First Evangelical Church, Memphis.
