Ruth Urban holds a B.A., College of William and Mary (1966), a Certificate in Spiritual Direction (1983), and an M.Div,. ETSSw (Austin), (1986). She was ordained deacon and priest in the Diocese of Bethlehem and served as Rector in 3 churches and Associate Rector in 2 churches in ECUSA. Ruth is actively involved in Healing Ministry. She has been a member of the Order of St. Luke for 30 years and has served as Regional Warden, Assistant to Regional Warden, speaker, teacher, and minister on healing at the local, national, and international level. She has also been a Spiritual Director for 25 years, having taught and trained lay leaders to be spiritual directors or mentors and trained many on their journey with the Lord. She is Founder and Director of the HEMS Ministry, a teaching center for people to learn to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit in Healing, Evangelism, Ministry, and Spirituality. She has been married to the Rev. John T. Urban for 41 years. They have two grown and happily married sons and five grandchildren, plus an adorable Shih Tzu named Abbey. Ruth and John are the Rectors of Holy Apostles Anglican Church, in Flowood, MS, Diocese of Thika, Province of Kenya. |
